In Chains

• Party in shackles about the wrists, chained together in two lines of about 50 humanoids each. All rag-tag, "adventurer" looking types.
• 19 guards total. Velpyrian Imperial troops, but not High-Huntsmen.
  • Not Legionnaires either. These must be local levies. Likely tending fields in their village up until last week or so, only now adjusting to marching in formation and wearing the plumed helmet.
• One seems to be in command. He may be an enlisted soldier, the rest are likely peasants, including the two lieutenants, who sport round shields as well as short-swords.

The party breaks free and, agreeing quickly to stick together, flees South-East away from the Imperial heartland.
