The Academy of Plumes

The most esteemed university of magic, technology and arts in Plumeria, Academie El-Plume is primarily constructed from white granite slabs carved in a fusion of elven and human styles. Its towers, walls, and outbuildings sprout from the steep jungle cliff it is situated atop, a brilliant smooth off-white against the rich green foliage and dark mossy stone. The surrounding area is warm, wet, and often humid like most of the region near the Gorian Cascades. The interior of El-Plume stays comfortably cool year-round thanks to the thick stone walls and sunken chambers which disperse heat into the surrounding earth. Most of the structures incorporate passive collection and condensation water from the air against the cool granite, which is either stored for drinking or drained to the nearby streams and falls, allowing the campus to retain a steady water supply and keep the interior humidity of its main buildings lower than the outside.

Denizens of El-Plume

El-Plume is host (and residence) to at least several hundred students at any one time, dozens of staff and researchers, and occasionally more than a thousand guests when a convention or gathering for a specific field, practice or industry is held.
